Long Time, No See

Wow, I haven't written in here in awhile. Cyberspacce, you've missed so much of of my life! Where do I begin? I should probably tell you that from February 3rd until April 29th I was living in London, England; interning with about 5 or 6 regional newspapers that run out of one office. It was incredible. I met so many amazing people, learned a lot, and had so much fun. It's definitely one of the most amazing experiences of my life thus far. I don't think I'll ever forget it. Since I've been home I've mostly just been bumming around the house, which is proving to get rather boring now the fifth week in. I've gone too a few [too few] concerts (Bamboozle and Brand New), which were both amazing. I also went to my old high school's senior prom and on the senior trip to Six Flags Great Adventure, as I would be in the second semester of my senior year of high school if I hadn't graduated early, and I just had nothing better to do. I've sort of been trying to look for a job. I say sort of because I've only actually applied for one, a few weeks ago, and haven't heard back yet. I was told I'll find out in June. My parents keep saying "Don't put all your eggs in one basket," but I'm having trouble looking for other jobs because I don't know where to look, and it's not like I'd really be able to get to said job easily because I can't drive (yet) and I live in one of those towns in the middle of nowhere that you have to drive everywhere. And I know that they're not gonna want to drive me. I guess that's also why I say "sort of."

In other news, I can't wait until I go to college. I leave in about two months (August 18th to be exact) and I'm so excited!

That's all for now, I'll try to post in here on a more regular basis from now on.

Her Skin Was Soft As Silk

All the little boys
danced around her like CPR.
She was their lifeline, their connection back out of this hole.
The sun screamed at them, around the contours of her face.
Her hair, a golden yellow. Her eyes, a whim of bright blue.
This was her time to shine.
"Take me by the hand," one little boy said, "I'll be your knight in shining armor, I'll take you anywhere you want to go."
"OK," she replied, interlocking fingers with the nimble boy's had.
Her skin was soft as silk.
